Laura Cristin Egerer named as YLP Global Winner at 2024 FIATA World Congress

We congratulate Laura on winning the Young Logistics Professional Award 2024.

At the FIATA World Congress, which took place from 23rd to 27th September 2024 in Panama, Laura Egerer, Head of Imports & Customs at EgeTrans, was named as the winner of the highest freight forwarding award for young professionals worldwide. As European champion, she was nominated by the DSLV (Bundesverband Spedition und Logistik) and was able to compete against nominees from America, Africa and Asia in front of a renowned jury and freight forwarding experts.

Laura impressed the audience in a Ted Talk and a panel discussion and demonstrated her exceptional expertise. In her dissertation “Reliable Logistics Solutions in an Unreliable Environment”, she examined the export of an oversized combustion chamber and the import of a dangerous goods sea freight shipment, which she presented in her live session in Panama. Her solution-oriented approach to these complex cargo movements is a proof of her expertise as well as her innovative thinking.

A sensational success and certainly a special and memorable experience in her young professional career. We are very proud of her achievement and look forward to her arrival in Marbach.
